Our Story
Brighton Dental was created by Dr. Neil Thomas who practiced for over 50 years in the Brighton community. Back in 2012, he allowed an aspiring dentist to shadow him for weeks on end. He then wrote this aspiring dentist a letter of recommendation to dental school which paid off and aided in their acceptance to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 2017, that dentist graduated and in 2019 came to practice at Brighton Dental alongside their long-time mentor, Dr. Thomas. In 2024, Dr. Thomas hoped to retire and ultimately sold the practice to that dentist. That dentist was Dr. Vanessa Donastorg.
With the addition of Dr. Elizabeth Wyderko, who has been practicing at Brighton Dental since 2015, our patients are able to receive the best of care. There's no better transition for this practice than to have over a 10 year relationship between doctors that allows for the Brighton Dental legacy to live on through Dr. Donastorg and Dr. Wyderko.
